My name is Patrick. I am a full time going to college in Reno, NV. I have been an eCapCity customer for 3 years and this is my Memorial Day story. My hat is a Philadelphia Flyers 7 3/8.
It was Memorial Day weekend and I finally finished my spring semester of college. I was ecstatic to be home and wanted to get my mind off of the final exams the week before. My college buddies and I decided to pack a car load of us and make a road trip to Las Vegas and then on down to Lake Havasu, AZ. I finally turned 21 so I decided to put my ID to use at some of the Vegas night clubs, and actually saw Reggie Bush at the Wynn Hotel and Resort. Vegas is an excellent time if you’ve got the right connections. But by far the best part of the story came during our stay in Lake Havasu. Lake Havasu draws hundreds of thousands of people during the summer from California, Arizona, and Nevada, and it is definitely the place to be. No matter where you look there were hot girls and boats that cost about 100K. Being a college kid, you’re definitely going to be on a budget, but we were determined to have a good time. My Philadelphia Flyers hat really came clutch while my friends and I were sitting at a bar. All of a sudden this girl came up to me and asked if I was watching the NHL Playoffs. I was totally caught off guard but decided to go with the flow, and found out she actually was from Pennsylvania visiting some family. Her sports IQ really caught my by surprise and we ended up having a good conversation and exchanged numbers. The next day I get a text from her “Come visit my friends and I on my dad’s houseboat <333!!”. This girl and her friends were some hotties so we were quick to take up that offer. We partied the next couple days with this group of girls and it was one hell of a time to say the least. The whole thing would not have happened if SHE didn’t approach me and ask about my Flyers fitted. Hanging out with these girls and road tripping with my close friends was definitely worth the sunburn that I got on my skin! Thanks for the fresh fitted eCapCity, you’ve got plenty of fans here on the west coast.

Whats good Ecapcity?? Here is my story it is not about my time during Memorial Day but a rather an experience I had because of my fitted. So quick background so the story makes sense. I go to school at Hawaii Pacific University; since my wife is active duty military I go to the campuses on base. This means that all classes consist of jar heads, seaman and every other type of soldier you can think of. This also goes for the professors huge majority of them ex military, my story is about one specific professor. So one day I go to class and for some reason my professor has a real frustrated look on his face. At the end of class I find out what the reason was for the looks, he says to me “Alejandro are u Russian or something?” I say “no” then he says “then why in the world would you wear that god awful hat”. Before I could say anything he states “ I think you wearing that hat here is low class” I could not understand why he was saying these things, later I find out that he is a retired marine and an ex CIA man that studied in the communications field. He also had some involvement in the cold war with some kind of intelligence gathering. Okay so back to the story, He continues to say something stupid like “In this time where our country is fighting for our rights, you decide to wear that symbol” The last stupid thing he said was “would you wear a hat with a swastika symbol?” In my head I said “if them boys in jersey released a clean color way why not. I really had nothing to say to this non sense. I was so shocked that a professional teacher had taken a simple hat this serious. But then I got the thinking this is what I get for wearing a hat that is fire.
FYI before this small exchange of words I had an A+ in the class for some reason I got a low grade on the final paper (highly doubtful I dissevered it) and ended up getting a B+

I don’t know if you can call this story outrageous like Chief suggested it could be, but here goes. My freshman year in college, I joined a campus group. Didn’t know much about it at the time, but I liked to have a good time, so it seemed like the right fit for me. As a member, we often found ourselves in some pretty ridiculous situations. The one I enjoyed the most though was a tradition we called wing night. My class and I sat down around a table in the middle of our house, 2 hotplate style containers in front of us. “10 minutes,” someone said as the tops were lifted off the containers. From the second the smell hit our faces, we all knew it was on. They were called, “Triple nasty wings”, and they lived up to the name and then some. The spell alone could burn your nose hairs clean off, and the taste numbed your mouth. We devoured 100 wings in 10 mins, some people puked and others looked like there was a fire in their pants. I finished my last wing, and with a sigh of relieve, raised my hand to wipe the sweat from my face. About a half second later, it hit me. Not, “wow, what an awesome job, I feel so accomplished” or any of that crap. Instead, all i thought was, “OMG my eyes are going to bleed.” The smart one that I am, I wiped triple nasty hot sauce all on my face and eyes. The burning was intense, and i ended up pouring a beer on my face to stop the pain. Ready for the tie in to the picture? Ok, me too. Nowadays, I spend a lot of my time thinking about all the ridiculous things I did in college, and the friends I made. ^^ That’s how I look when I do it.

On cold dark winter night, everyone looks for some color in the air. Cruising around looking for the adventure so easily found on a warm summers night. The journey leads the wanders to the highest point of view in the nearby area. Looking out over the city, filled with boring regular everyday hats, one hat, one person, a uniqueness stands atop everyone. Carefully watching over his new domain, rocking his old school Vancouver Canucks throwback hat, he thinks to himself this is my city. His own personal cap city, filled with followers with the everyday on-field caps. Yes, they are good hearted people wearing the good caps, but they are the same, diversity is small in this city. But now with the new leadership, of a king who wears uniqueness on his crown, comes a New Era.

A cold January twenty-ten in the nations capital. Tourists come, tourists go- but the soul of the city will always be. A city that contains the nations debt along with the nations wealth. A place that is known for its museums and other historical sites but is not known for the diversity and enticing nightlife. The relaxing ride in on i-395 with all of my 400 horses propelling me into the city, and it’s because of the allure that I even come. The city is beautiful, but it’s the people that are monumental.
