Yesterday I was in the New York City on some business, I was walking around since it was such a nice day out and i came across this. I completely forgot the Capsule Trade Show was in NYC. Now for those not familiar with what Capsule is, Its basically a trade show for Brands (Such as Frank 151, Kid Robot, Staple….) to showcase next years product. We’re shown samples, majority of the time most of these samples do release. But every once in awhile things get scraped and this may be the first and last time you see it. This year Capsule was held in this Church, with an really ill set up.

Staple

One of the few brands we carry is Staple. They’ve been doing their thing forever or at least that’s how it feels. I still remember being in that line up for their Nike SB Dunk Low a few years back. Since our thing is New Era Fitteds of course we’re gonna show case that. This Wool joint with the Classic Staple Pigeon on front was awesome in person. Too bad they didn’t have my size in the sample.

FRANK 151

Them dudes at Frank are always doing something that would make your head turn. No matter it be their book series (which we all read at the shop) or their New Era Fitteds. This year they decided to spell out “FRANK”. As many as you remember their “F” New Era has been popular for the last couple of seasons now. Its becoming a classic in New York City as much as the New York Yankees. Also Frank 151 continues to do big things with their Distro League and their Collabos with various artists. Keep doing yall thing.

Kidrobot

Granted we haven’t carried Kidrobot clothing in a couple of seasons. We’ve always liked their New Era Fitteds. We’d try and pick them up whenever available, It was just tough seeing how their products move so quickly. Hopefully that changes this upcoming season….

Casio G Shock

There’s no explanation necessary, G Shock, a timeless classic. They’ve done collabos with everyone, (BAPE, Haze, LRG, Mister Cartoon just to name a few… ). We started carrying G Shock a couple of seasons ago and its been hard to keep on the shelf ever since. Below is just small sample of whats to come.

Releasing in this weeks update at ECapCity will be the new Frank 151 New Era hats along with many more.

One of my favorites in the game right now is all the custom team caps I’m seeing. whether its major or minor league logos, it keeps the fitted culture rooted and relevant to what it originally was, a team or logo driven piece, but with an updated or limited color way. Here’s some new releases that I handpicked from CAP CITY in West New York, NJ last week.

Here they have Denver Nuggets, NJ Devils, and L.A. Kings color ways exclusively available at CAP CITY. Some other notables that I picked out is a White Sox throwback cap that he explained to me was a cap they brought back to wear on the field last year, and a Mets cap that is actually done in a Yankees Navy Blue/White with a Grey underbill like the old version of MLB’s, one of the simplest pieces in the shop, but by far my favorite.
